Review: Agolde Denim

A few months back I was in the market for some new denim. Thanks to the pandemic and then being pregnant, I hadn’t worn jeans in roughly two years. Whatever I had purchased back in 2019 was either out of style or didn’t fit right anymore. I was really close to my pre-baby weight and ready to invest in some good quality jeans.

Agolde jeans were popping up everywhere, and I decided to give them a try. I went into my jean-buying experience planning on only getting two pairs of jeans. I purchased the Lana Straight Leg (shown above) and the very popular Riley Chewed Hem denim (shown below). I’m proud to say I’ve been ‘surviving’ off of only two pairs of jeans for the last five months and it’s going really well. I invested in these laundry bags which have been a game changer for helping keep the quality of the denim in tact. I wash the jeans on delicate and of course only line dry them. I also only wash them when they’re actually dirty as opposed to after every single wear. They’ve held up really well.

With both pairs of Agolde jeans, they showed up and were really, really tight. I had read that this would be the case, but I was nervous I ordered the wrong size. (I ordered my usual size) However, after about three wears they fit perfectly. I’m considering in buying these button pins as they do get loose over several wears.

Overall I’m very impressed with these jeans. They fit really well, feel good when I wear them, and are very flattering. I also bought the Dee Ultra High Rise Shorts (I sized up one because I don’t like shorts tight on my thighs) and I’ve been wearing them all summer. They’re very comfy and cool without making me feel like I’m showing too much.

Lastly: I share all looks on my LTK account where many pieces from my closet are linked.
