I was on such a good cadence with sharing my recent buys, but the last two months have slipped away due to a lot of travel, a few days of solo parenting, and continuing to settle into our new house. School has begun, I started a new job (more on that later!), and it feels like I can almost feel the season beginning to change. Out of necessity with new jobs and school, our schedules have become much more defined, and I’m hopeful that means more carved out time that’s dedicated to creating content here.
Alas, here is what I’ve purchased recently! A few end of summer pieces for me, lots of clothes for the kids, home things, and yes… a Christmas tree.
Black Denim
Black Agolde Jeans: I knew I wanted to add some black denim into the mix for fall/winter. I snagged these cropped jeans on sale last month and I love them. They run true to size.
Agolde Parker Long Shorts: I also bought black shorts since they’re great for the transition to fall when it’s after Labor Day but still in the 80s. I know I’ll be wearing these all next summer, too. Size down!
Workout Apparel
I hadn’t bought any new workout apparel since before the pandemic since I was working out at home. Now that I’m back to working out in a studio, my leggings desperately needed updated. I bought (for the third time) a couple of Fabletics leggings. I also bought some Beyond Yoga leggings for the first time. They are super soft and we’ll see how they hold up. I wanted some sort of sweatshirt situation to throw on before and after workouts, so I snagged some of those, too.
1) Blue Fabletics Leggings, 2) Black Flabletics Leggings, 3) Beyond Yoga Leggings, 4) Red Sweatshirt, 5) Black Sweatshirt, 6) Grey Sweatshirt
For The Kids
I love Primary Kids jeans. Last year’s held up but no longer fit A, so I bought a couple more as well as a pair of cute baby jeans for G. I find that they run true to size for the kids.
1) Black Jeans, 2) Blue Jeans, 3) Baby Jeans
Hydroflask: With preschool starting, A needed a bigger water bottle and I was thrilled to see Hydroflask sells a large 20 ounce kids water bottle.
Haakaa Snack Cup: G has been transitioning to drinking out of cups. I had originally bought this Haakaa cup that switches to a snack cup. Using this as a sippy cup was way too big. But it’s great for snacks!
Mushie Baby Cup: This is great, but is not spill proof.
For The Home
Mounted Wall Rack: The rainy season is coming, and we’ll need a spot to hang our coats. I wanted something that looked cool, but was functional. This hanging wall rack I found looks awesome and works great.
Christmas Tree: Yup. I bought a Christmas tree. Last year before we moved, I desperately wanted a new Christmas tree. C convinced me to wait because we knew we’d likely be in a different house by next year’s holiday season, and we didn’t want to buy something that wouldn’t work in our new home. Apparently all Christmas trees are on sale in July, so we decided to get into the holiday spirit early and bought a Christmas tree! It’s still in a box in our basement, but I’m excited to see what it looks like… in two months!
