Oregon Coast: Hug Point State Park

A couple of weeks ago, two weeks after we moved, we decided to take a trip out to the coast. We hadn’t been to the coast since last fall and missed it deeply. I shared this on IG, but whenever we head out to the ocean it relaxes our whole family. We desperately needed this reset after a busy and whirlwind month that was June. I already can’t wait to go back.

As with all spots along the coast, I recommend arriving by 10am. We pulled into the parking lot ten minutes before 10am and snagged one of the last parking spots. This was our first time at this beach, and it was very much an iconic Oregon beach with the cliffs and caves. Personally I love the weather at the coast in the summer and was happily wearing my puffer and chacos. This particular spot is a little bit farther of a drive than our usual beaches we frequent. Once our kids are a little bit older we’ll come back and have a fire on the beach.
