Hello, April!

It’s the first week of April and the sun is shining and all of the tulips are really showing off in Portland right now. As someone who grew up in the midwest and never really understood that spring can be beautiful, I’m constantly marveling at everything that is blooming in this city.

April feels like it kicks off the start of so many things. We have a lot planned over the next six months. Lots of travels, birthdays, camping trips, concerts, date nights. We also have a big wedding anniversary next month and it feels surreal to be crossing this milestone. It’s been a long two years, and this spring I’m pausing to soak up all the anticipation and build up to these fun things.

It also doesn’t feel real that we are quickly approaching two years of living in Portland. The first year was full of pandemic blues, and the second year was pregnancy and newborn life. It’s truly flown by but also stood still. This is also why I’m feeling extra stoked about what we have planned for this year. I can’t believe it’s already April and I’m welcoming this season with very big and wide open arms.
