There are endless amounts of baby products on the market. It’s overwhelming and I’ve got my own opinions on a lot of them (example: a diaper bag is… just a bag! I just use a normal tote bag to carry my things). I’m sharing the ten baby products that are staples in our house that we use on a regular basis. These are things I believe are worth investing in since we use them all the time.
1. Baby Bjorn Bouncer
This is where our babies will hang out before they can sit on their own. I love that there are no straps and that you can just slide the baby in and out with ease. It’s also very easy to machine wash, which is important.
2. Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair
This is an investment, but both of our children have one and we use them all the time. I love that they are so easy to clean and that they grow with the child. They are also not ugly and blend right in with our dining room table while taking up minimal space. I’ve had several friends buy cheaper highchairs to start, and then they’ve ended up switching over to the Tripp Trapp chair.
3. Guava Lotus Travel Crib
All of our extended family live states away. So when we travel to see them it’s always by plane. This travel crib folds up small enough to be a carry on. We will use this on camping trips this summer too. I love how safe the crib is with the mesh siding. We also bought the sunshade for the crib to help block out light when we’re traveling.
4. Tubby Todd Skin Care
We’ve used just about every bath and lotion product that Tubby Todd sells. We also love their sunscreen. The real winner though, is the All Over Ointment. Their AOO works quickly to heal any extreme dry skin or rashes. I can’t recommend it enough.
5. Herschel Changing Mat
I carry this in my mom bag and believe it’s the best travel changing mat on the market. It’s good quality and is designed in a smart way where everything you need to change a baby’s diaper is packed within the mat in the designated pockets.
6. Sound Machines
We use the Snooz sound machine in our home. We originally had the Dohm, but it ended up dying and we switched to this one. Similar to the Dohm, I like that it is a real fan creating the white noise as opposed to an electronic sound. We do, however, use the portable Hushh sound machine when we are traveling. Which is very much an electronic sound machine.
7. Happy Baby Carrier
While I’m not the biggest fan of baby wearing, this carrier is definitely the best one I’ve found. I love the minimal design. It’s so easy to put on and take off and feels really great when I’m wearing it. It’s very important to me that a baby carrier has actual clasps as opposed to rings or simply tying fabric together. I find that anything that isn’t a clasp usually loosens over time and I end up having to constantly keep re-tightening it. I love that the Happy Baby Carrier looks and feels like a wrap, but actually uses clasps.
8. Carseat Wrap
This genius invention keeps your baby warm and safe while in a carseat. There is nothing between your baby’s back and the carseat, but it’s way more secure and warm than just draping a blanket over a baby in a carseat. I recommend this to all my friends who live in colder climates.
9. Leander Matty Changing Mat
This mat wipes clean, is comfortable for the baby, and looks sleek. It’s expensive, but with something like a changing mat that you are literally using all day long for 2+ years, I think this is worth spending money on. Especially since it’s sitting out and you’re likely looking at it a lot when in the baby’s room.
10. Uppababy Gear
We have used the Uppababy Cruz stroller system for the last three and a half years. We have the Mesa carseat and the bassinet as well. When our second baby was born, we added the piggyback ride along board to the stroller for our older kid. We also have the travel bags for the stroller and the carseat. Uppababy’s travel program is amazing and their customer service is really great too. Our stroller’s frame was getting very squeaky and I reached out to Uppababy about it. They sent me an entirely new frame for free!
