Sézane Review

In late fall/early winter Sézane reached out to gift me several items from their winter collection. I couldn’t respond to an email fast enough! I was thrilled because they’re a company and brand I love and have ordered from in the past. I love their timeless looks and was excited to get my hands on more of their sweaters to wear this winter.

They don’t have many brick and mortar stores, but I’ve had a lot of success with ordering online. They have a size guide under each item that suggests which size to order. I’ve found that this is very accurate when ordering my clothes from their website.

I was able to try everything from sweatshirts, sweaters, denim, and even shoes! Full review of each piece is below.

SWEATSHIRTS

While Sézane is definitely most known for their chic Parisian sweaters, I was thrilled to find that they offer sweatshirts. I’m a mom on the go, and while there is definitely a time and place for stylish sweaters, I’ve found I reach for their sweatshirts more often than not. The style of their sweatshirts is much more fitted and I feel really put together when I wear them. They update their inventory frequently, and over the months I’ve been ordering from their website their sweatshirts options have varied and changed – which I love.

KNITWEAR

I already had Gaspard Cardigan from last year. I had originally purchased to wear while getting ready for my sisters wedding in November ’22, and then proceeded to wear all winter. It’s so feminine and easy to wear. I sized down and it’s definitely roomy and cozy.

The Emile Cardigan is my favorite so far. It’s so cozy, bulky, but not too bulky. I wore this on Thanksgiving, but will really wear it all year long. It would be perfect for a day at the coast. All of Sézane’s sweaters come in a variety of colors which I love. I sized down and there is still room to layer under the sweater.

This red sweater… I meaaaan. Come on! It’s so beautiful!! I wore to The Nutcracker and on Christmas Eve this year. I love red right now, and can’t wait to wear this with light colored jeans and sneakers for a more casual look this spring. My favorite part of this sweater are the wrist cuffs. I sized down and it fits perfectly.

One thing to note: The knits I chose are very warm. If you’re looking for a lighter weight sweater, I’d suggest the Léontine sweater or the Bree sweater that I have my eye on for this spring/summer.

DENIM

Whenever the Le Crop denim comes back in stock, I’m running to get more. These jeans are the perfect option for those of us that want to dabble in the baggy jean trend, but aren’t quite ready to commit to the full ultra-wide jeans that are making a comeback. I’m 5’4″(ish) and these are a great length for me with a 26.8inch inseam. I usually look for a 26inch inseam, but I actually really like the long look of these pants on me. I can’t believe these jeans are only $125. I’m on the waitlist for the grey/black color.

SHOES

I was excited to try out their shoes! These leather boots were calling my name. I can dress up them up or down – which is what I look for in all clothes these days. If you’ve been reading for a while, you’ll know I’m very committed to my rain boots and blundstones, but this is a boot where I feel a little more chic and will wear for years to come.
